Hi friends,
the Unreal Engine 5 is out and i have tested it on my assets and it is amazing. Here are some shots of my bridge in UE5. Its an early access release of the engine which means that it still has problems and its not all perfect but i can say that im super happy and i will stick with this new updated engine. Its compatible to my old UE4 projects files and it just needs a few adjustments. The reason why im so happy with this new release is the new lighting engine Lumen which enables software global illumination which makes my interiour sets look much more realstic and more natural and the other feature is nanite which renders my static meshes much more efficient and allows me to place millions of polygons per object in one scene. That in general means i will have no problems to place all my assets in one big scene like having thousands asteroids rendered at once without any problems. It gives me full freedom to put everything i want in one scene. I have to figure out how it exactly works but this is a huge feature update which will help me a lot to finish my project. I hope you are all fine.
Best
Daniel
